How to Remove the Alkaline Base from Weave

****** Please Read me******* How to Remove the Alkaline Base from Weave. This is a great technique to do if synthetic or Human Hair Weave makes your scalp itchy. Some people think they are allergic to weave but most of the time they are allergic to the alkaline base they put on the weave. Companies put this alkaline base to make the hair shinier or to make it softer. You would be amazed since the recession; I do belive they are putting this alkaline base on SOME human hair as well.; NOT ALL. Some pp think they are getting virgin remy hair and they dont always get that. Alot of companies are mixing synthetic hair in with THE human hair. *** I am now Offering Hair Braiding Training Classes, Dvds & E-Videos. I will show you how to Braid, Twist, Crochet, Sew In Weave & more. Please Check out my Website for more Info:

Anytime you are washing synthetic weave you always
want to use cool water. The hair may melt with hot water.
Bc it is made out of Plastic
    Thanks for Watching :-) )

  2. 4evadetermined says:

Can I ask why you use cool water and not hot? I haven’t tried either method yet but I have read many posts and blogs stating to boil the water so it’s hot and then after the vinegar stage wash and hang dry. Just wondering the reasoning for the temp of the water

  6. pinkcufflynx says:

I used water wave hair and it didn’t change the curl pattern on the hair.

  7. Blahwatshesay says:

can you do this on black & gold braiding hair?

  8. AKIYIAKELLY says:

I woudnt do this to all types of hair.
And if you do it to curled hair be very gentle
so you wont disturb the curls.

  9. angillespie1 says:

Would you suggest doing this same method on synthetic curly hair, for example the Freetress water wave hair or the hair that you used in your crochet dread video?

I’m getting my hair done in Senegalese twists for the first time this weekend, and I hope you can answer these questions.

I got Essence Silky & Jumbo 100% Kanekalon hair. Is that okay to use?
How many packs should I use if I want the twists really small?
I did the the vinegar technique today, how am I sure that all the alkaline came out. When taking out the hair it hits the ‘film’ ?
Will it last for 3 months?
Can I pour the vinegar onto my Senegalese twists when they’re ready for a wash?

Thank you, I’ve heard of this technique, but I did not know how to do it. I am going to try it.

  14. AKIYIAKELLY says:

    No I used I think 4 packs.
But I would buy 5 packs just to be in the safe side.
I always like to have to much hair than not enough.

  15. mrsbk08 says:

did you you all 5 packs of hair for the twists??

  16. kmr1able says:

thanks for the tip. I would just wash the hair with shampoo not vinager, and that did not help.

I first broke out in the summer of 2006. I’ve tried different brands of human hair(Not remy). I actually bought the blended(synthetic &human) as a solution. The chemicals used on synthetic hair doesn’t bother me a bit. And stylists freak out if I buy the futara hair(the hair you can use heat on). I’ve washed the human hair before having it installed and that didn’t work. Maybe I will try this vinegar wash on human hair one day :-) THANKS
